Gringo the Cat: 2007-2010
Gringo, our Paraguayan, Siamese cat, was killed by a pack of wild dogs tonight. Right now we are very sad-- we miss him so much, but we know he lived a wonderful life, especially with his time outside in Asuncion, Lynchburg, and here on the ACS campus.

K-Town: The Beauty
The traditional color of the houses here. |
|
|
There are roads, but as many horses with carts as trucks use them. |
The colors blossomed all around us. |
We met a number of interesting people on our walk on Sunday morning. Here a farmer takes his bull for a walk. |
He pointed us in the right direction. |
Some beautiful horses caught our attention on our walk. |
Hello Mr. Ed - this one joined in our conversation. |
Old school potato farmer. |
He wanted to sell us some of these sacks of potatos. |
The waves of soil |
He didn't have the kind of help that the owners of this potato field had. |
The local cemetery. |
A wider angel. |
|
A look at the main church from above. |
I take this same shot every time I'm here. |
Our local cafe. |
This is pretty much what you do here. |
This is a crumbling house we found in a church's courtyard. |
Some broken headstones on the side of the church. |
Another part of the above house in the churchyard. |
