The world-famous Balkanski Circus has set up its tent right in our own backyard. For the next two weeks, young Bulgarian children and over-the-hill expats will have the wonderful opportunity to witness some of the world's most amazing circus acts, or some of its saddest. I've seen the camels and penguins and neither creature looked all too happy with their position right off a major Sofia thouroughfare, complete with terrible traffice and non-stop exhaust. Rumor has it that there will also be seals and lions, although the pool was empty as were the cages. Well, young and old will be on hand to witness whatever it is that Circus Balkanski will deliver, and you can be sure that I will be on hand as well and will let you know all of the details.
